Honest Beauty Créme Blush in Truly Exciting

Cream blush is an efficient way to brighten things up after months of sun deprivation (fellow Seattleites can commiserate here). Or if you've had enough bleary eyed late nights responding to emails, and 3am fire drills initiated by a crying toddler to make utter exhaustion the new norm.

Lash curler + RMS UnCoverup + Luminizer + one of these Honest Beauty blushes are a great template to have in your kit. Particularly new moms, frequent travelers, or subscribers to the 90's no-makeup-makeup aesthetic that's enjoying a resurgence.

I love the look of cream blushes, but they always vanish on me after about 90 minutes. These little beauties, however, actually last! They're not dewy, but they're neither powdery or mattifying. It's a soft, diffused pigment with high opacity. They layer well over bare skin, cream or powder foundations. And while you could use a brush to apply, but for the sake of ease, I prefer fingertips.

Alima Pure Satin Matte Blush in Apple Blossom

Blush is a 10 second miracle product. When done right, it shaves years off, makes you look put together and just healthy. Cream and liquid formulas are great for layering with emollient primers and foundations for a glowy sheen. But for the sake of longevity (which, let's be honest, is often where clean beauty falls short), you're better off sticking with powder formulas.

My favorite would be Alima Pure's Satin Matte Blush, and my absolute favorite shade is Apple Blossom. It's a romantic, believable, blooming soft pink with just enough grey to give it depth without going ashy. If you're on the paler end, regardless whether your skin tone is warm or cool, this looks beautiful. It's foolproof to apply, a dusting across the apple of your cheeks, and you're set for the next 10 or so hours. I layer it over Alima Pure's powder foundations and bronzer, but it also looks lovely solo. Or mix a small amount in the palm of your hand with a favorite luminizer of moisturizer for a bespoke cream blush.

I'm on my second pot (my first lasted two years!) and I'm hoping Alima Pure never stops making this shade. It's the prettiest blush I've ever found.
